Fujan Province
Fujan Province (in simplified Chinese 福建省) is one of the large provinces in
China. One of the characteristics of this Province is that Fujan has a lot of
mountains, and it is facing the ocean. The land area of mountains is nearly 90%
of the total land area of this province, and these mountains and jungles
contribute a lot to the green area of the province. In Fujan, more than 62% of
land is occupied by green plants like trees. This is really very great and in
terms of green area, Fujan ranks first in China.
In fact, Fujan is having tropical weather climate. The annual average
temperature ranges from 17 to 21℃. Along the coastal area, throughout the year,
the temperature was slightly above 10 ℃. During winter time, it is quite warm,
especially in January. However, during summer, it is quite hot as the average
temperature was from 20 to 39 and there are quite a lot of typhoons. Therefore,
visiting Fujan during summer time and winter time would probably give you a
totally different feeling and you might be able to see the cultural of Fujan
people in the two distinct seasons if you visit Fujan in the two seasons
respectively.
In Fujan, the population is dense located in certain regions. It is mainly
because, as mentioned above, Fujan is a province with a lot of mountains, and
many of them are so high that they are not suitable for people to live.
Therefore, a lot of people would concentrate to live in flat land, resulting in
such a population pattern.
In fact, Fujan is a province with a lot of minorities living. Although the
majority population is the Hans, there are still many other people living in
Fujan. In terms of religion, Fujan is special too. There are many different
kinds of religions established in this province, like the Catholics, the
Christians, Buddhists, Islams, Muslims, etc. All these show that Fujan is a
province with a lot of social variety and you would be able to witness how these
people living together happily in Fujan if you try to visit this province. |
